Set sail on the Adventure of a Lifetime!
Camp will be held June 18-20th, 2013 in Morris, MN for youth just completing grades 3-6.

Tracks include:
Tiki Technology: explore the exciting world of engineering by building and programming a cool robot using the Lego Mindstorms educational program. Campers will also bring home a robot of their own creation!

Island Improv: Work with the staff in the Theatre Department at UMM, where you will learn the basics of acting, costuming and performing on stage. The finale will be a production performed by the track participants, with the rest of the campers as the audience!

Media Mateys: see what it's like to produce a movie. Campers will be able to create and edit their own news story. Campers will also be posting on this blog for parents to see!

Coconut Creations: Campers will learn the basics of sculpting. Staff from the UMM Studio Art Department will guide campers to create objects of their own design. On the last day of camp, they will host an Art Show to display their creations to the rest of the campers!

Meet the Counelors!




Alex B. is from Chippewa county and has been in 4-H for 11 years.  She is a freshman at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities studying math education.  Alex enjoys playing the trumpet in the U of M marching band.  Alex is coming back to camp as a co-director this year!

Auni C. is from Missouri but comes up and stays in Pope County every summer.  She is 18 years old, has been in 4-H for 7 years and shows goats.  Auni is joining us for her 1st year as a camp counselor though she has lot of day camp counselor experience.

Chase O. has been in Lac qui Parle County 4-H since Kindergarten. He shows beef, swine and poultry.  He likes to run and raise chickens.  This is Chase's first year as a camp counselor and is excited to get to meet all of you!

Courtney M. is from Swift County and is in 7th grade.  She likes to show rabbits and lots of project areas.  Courtney plays volleyball, basketball and softball.  This is Courtney's first year as a camp counselor but has been coming to 4-H camp for many years!

Dustin K. is a 15 year old 9th grader from Meeker County.  His favorite project is showing goats. This is Dustin's 1st year as a counselor and is really hoping to have some fun with you this summer!

Dylan M. is in 9th grade and lives in Swift County.  He plays basketball and tennis.  Dylan likes collecting Bobble Heads and loves to watch Duck Dynasty!  Dylan has been serving as a camp counselor since 7th grade!

Emily P. is 17 years old and has been in 4-H for 12 years.  She's a member of Wallsbooster's 4-H Club in Traverse County.  She shows rabbits, horse, goats, sheep and steers.  Emily is a cheerleader for football, wrestling and basketball. This is Emily's 2nd year as a camp counselor.

Jayson H. is from Meeker County. He's been in 4-H for 7 years and likes to hang out with his friends and family.  Jayson's favorite thing to do?  EAT!  So, campers watch your plates at camp so Jayson doesn't eat all of your lunch too!

Jenna D. is a freshman at Morris Area High School and a swimmer for the Morris/Minnewaska Gators.  She's been in 4-H for 8 years and serves as an Ambassador for Stevens County.  Jenna shows beef at the fair, as well as photography, fine arts and self determined.

Jenna S. is in the 7th grade. She is a member of the Busy Go Getters 4-H Club in Swift County.  She enjoys playing volleyball, basketball and softball.  Jenna also enjoys showing cattle, pigs and spending time with her family and friends.

Katie S. is an 8th grader from Benson who loves to play tennis and being the Benson Marching Band Flag Line.  Katie has been a 4-H member for 5 years and serves as a Swift County Ambassador.  She exhibits in Performing Arts and Quilting.

Kayla K. is a 9th grader at ACGC and has been in Meeker County 4-H for 9 years.  She shows dairy, rabbits, poultry and horses.  Kayla's in drama, a wrestling manager, math league and track and field (if you challenge her to a race, you will most likely win).  Kayla has been learning to play the guitar.

Kyler K. is 16 years old and goes to Morris Area High School.  He lives on a farm north of Glenwood.  Kyler's favorite hobbies are snowmobiling and 4-wheeling.  In the 4-H world, Kyler shows goats, cattle and rabbits.  He's been in 4-H for 11 years.

Madison W. is from the Acton Buzzers 4-H Club in Meeker County.  She has been in 4-H for 6 years and is back for a 2nd time as a camp counselor.  She has shown goats, poultry and is looking forward to trying out some new things this year!  She cannot wait for summer to come and 4-H camp to start.

Megan E. plays basketball and runs cross country.  She's been in Douglas County 4-H for 10 years.  She shows dairy, goats and rabbits.  Megan is enthusiastic and is super excited for camp to come!

Meghan B. is in the 7th grade and from Renville County.  She likes to show dog, rabbits and goats.  Her favorite hobby is playing with her animals.  Megan has been in 4-H for 5 years.  She cannot wait to see you at camp!!

Nick T. is in 10th grade at Benson High School and lives in Swift County.  He plays basketball and runs cross country and track.  Nick lives on a farm and shows cattle.  This is Nick's first year as a camp counselor so take it easy on him!

Rachel S. is a freshman at North Dakota State University majoring in Animal Science with an Ag Comm major.  This is her 3rd year as a camp counselor and is coming back as a co-director this year! Rachel has been in Renvilee County 4-H for 14 years and her favorite projects are dog, goat and poultry.  She hopes you are excited for camp!

Rachel S. is a Junior at Montevideo High School.  She has been in 4-H for 12 years; her favorite project is showing horses.  She is in choir, band, cross country and drama.  Rachel lives on a farm with two older siblings.

Ricki K. has been in Lac qui Parle 4-H for 12 years and is so excited to be coming back for a 3rd year as a camp counselor!  Ricki serves as a county ambassador and is very active in the beef and photography projects.
